Voted 2nd best live show in Chicago 2019 only after Lizzo for his Pitchfork performance (Chicago Tribune), Ric Wilson is a Chicago stand out that makes party ready hip-hop, with a funk, disco, house twist. Wilson’s funk/disco-infused take on rap stimulates both the mind and body with robust percussion, buoyant vocal arrangements and triumphant instrumentation. Wilson’s music is playful and poignant, with  youthful innocence that’s still ever-aware of the difficulties life may throw at you. But instead of lamenting and brooding, Wilson chooses to bask in the beauty of it, dancing through the struggles while remaining acutely aware of his emotions.

In 2021 Wilson moved to London and created and released “Disco Ric In Londontown” EP with Yellow Days. His release is a project titled “CLUSTERFUNK” a collab album with Dj/Producer Atrak and funklord duo Chromeo (March 2023). Wilson is currently preparing for next release of EP “America Runs on Disco” (June 2025) & debut album release late 2025.

 Wilson has played out shows country wide & internationally. Ric Wilson has also toured nationally and internationally openning for a wide range of acts such as Chromeo, Yellow Days, Black Pumas, Cory Henry, Big Freedia,The Roots,Badbadnotgood, All American Rejects, and more. With festivals under his belt such as Boston Calling, Pitchfork, Rolling Loud(SF,LA,Miami), Gov Ball, Fader Fort, Mamby on the Beach, Hopscotch, Otis Mountain Get Down & more Ric is preparing for the release of his first album and to infinity in the new 2020 decade. In 2022 Ric Wilson covered Rolling Stone Magazine.

Ric also, is one of the 8 delegates chosen to travel to Geneva, Switzerland in November of 2014 representing the We Charge Genocide coalition. They successfully presented a shadow report and testified at the United Nations, charging the Chicago Police Department with genocide and torture actions on Black and brown youth within the city of Chicago helping to create a worldwide connection.  The trip was covered all over the US and countries foreign including Daily Mail (UK), 20 Minuten (Switzerland), MSN France, Japan Times, Zee News (India), Gulf Times (Qatar), IOL News (South Africa), Straits Times (Singapore), Business Reporter (Pakistan), Breitbart.
